hello all..i am new here,and very ill,and very scared..i had a
hysterectomy at the end of january via,abdominal incision..was sent
home 4 days later,and within several days developed a huge knot under
my just ablove the incision...for any weeks i felt like i had the flu
24/7....part of my incision opened up-and it started to drain..this
drainage soon because very thick green glop,and smell horrific..monday
of last week i was admotted to the hospital and placed on 2 iv
antibiotics,and thursday of last week was takin into surgery
again...they have left my incision open,and i am being packed 2 times a
day(very painful at this point)..i was released friday..by monday of
this week,i had another huge knot in my stomach,and was told it was
abcessed again...the cultures of the infectin came back positive for
mrsa....my doc called me on friday to inform he can no longer handle
this as it is out of his league,and he is sending me to a infectious
disease specialist...the problem now is they cant see me till april
6,and the infection is coming out of my incision agin,and has turned
green again..i dont know whats going to happen to my body if i have to
wait that long,or how much sicker i will become...can you all tell me
if having it inside my body is more serious than on the skin..also,what
will happen if the vanc antibiotic dont work???im very scared....
