Hi ya'll,
Thought I would post a little update. Most of you may recall my near
death ordeal down in Dallas, TX
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MRSA/message/304
I have been staying with my younger brother in Rapid City, SD since
this past October. I have been MRSA free by act of God since this
past summer, Vancomycin and Zyvox must have done the trick for me,
so indeed another one of the lucky few. If it were not for the
abscess I had attached to my spinal cord I would be back in full
form. The back pain from my resulting vertabral compression fracture
is still intense...I still take morphine sulfate and that helps.
SSI/SSD appeal was denied and I am now awaiting an Administrative
Law Hearing...the next step in the process....have been unable to
work, unable to recieve further medical care other than the
analgesics which my Doctor in Yankton, SD is sweet enough to keep
prescribing at no charge. Thank God for compassionate doc's.
I pray I will receive the disability this go around (hearing should
be within the next 10 months)so I can seek another surgical
consult...Have researched some new minimal invasive procedures
(kyphoplasty) for vertabral compression fractures...Would certainly
like to be considered a candidate for that.
Well that is my update, my heart and prayers go out to all those
still suffering from this horrible affliction.
Warmest Regards,
Shaun
