Hello I am Brian and I am a workalcoholic..well up to when I got MRSA. I had a
callous that never healed. On the surface was just a callous but when they dug
and dug it was infected. I worked 7 days aweek, 2 full time jobs, and not a
great marriage, I was always angry and took it out on everyone in my path. not a
great life. but after many of times in the hospitals and a partial
amputation...I love life now. Sure I still have bad days...who doesn't?? But my
life is more complete... I have no regrets about the amputation, I feel great
about it, I mean sure my life has changed and it sucks I still get sick. But it
really slowed me down, ..never wanted to be at home. but now its like a second
chance to work on my marriage, relationship with kids. and i am learning so
much..drawing, painting, learned how to knit, make cards, scrapbook, how to
communicate, my wife is happier than she ever has. so a lot of positive came by
having staph. I am home all the
time and enjoying life.

I belong to 3 mrsa message boards. I know we all have problems and searching for
answers but are there any positive stories out there. Thanks
