I've stated on here before that I'm a 3 time survivor of very serious HA-MRSA
bouts. I was colonized in 1991. I've dealt with being tired more than most
people, muscle and joint aches, and what I would consider to be abnormal
cravings for sugar from time to time. I recently read that the bacteria I'm
colonized with feed on sugar and that you may have cravings for it as a result.
I also read that the bacteria excrete uric and lactic acids and that a build up
of those can cause you to feel tired, depressed, and have achy muscles and
joints. So even though I don't have an active infection I'm experiencing these
symptoms as someone who is colonized? I know quite a bit about being in the
midst of an active infection, but living with being colonized is still kind of a
gray area for me. Anybody know if there is truth behind what I read? Does anyone
else experience this even when they don't have an active infection?
