Hi,Kori!
I have an ongoing staph problem, but not near the severity of your
father's. I have found that when I'm getting lots of rest and taking a
high potency vitamin and mineral, infections are fewer and I get over
them more quickly. Applying tea tree oil to the surface of the skin and
of any boils several times daily also has helped, but I have never put
any in an open wound. I don't think that would be a good idea, it is
strong enough that I would be afraid it might damage the tissues. Some
people find that tea tree oil is too strong, and have to dilute it with
water before use, so it won't give them a rash. I hope this is of some
help.
Wishing You Well, Betty K.
