Melissa, I won't get mad at anyone's advice.? I have no open wound to put the
honey on right now, but it looks like I might have an infection in the bone
now.?? I'll take all tips.

Hi Lori and Patti,
My vitamin d was prescribed as follows: 1 capsule every week for three months
than 1 capsule a month thereafter. The dose is 50000iu. This was prescribed by
my pcp because my D levels were extreemly low. Last summer, when I was tested,
I spent at least 8 hours a day on the weekends in my bathing suit outside. My D
level being low did not make any sense to me.
I do very little to stay decolonized. I will do a bleach bath after trying on
clothes at the mall or after a doctors office visit in addition to hand washing
like crazy. I do use my manuka honey at first site of any bumps or cuts. When
I was sick with mrsa I diluted manuka honey in a medi-pot solution and rinsed my
nasal cavities. I often think about doing this as maintanence to stay mrsa free
but I don't.
Lori, I hope you are doing better. I think of your story often, you got mrsa
from a needle in a couch, right? I know I told you this before, don't get mad,
but I would use the manuka 25+ right in my wounds if I were you. I really
believe it will help you. Love you guys -Melissa

Melissa, I am also delighted to hear your news.?
Please continue to let us know how you are doing.
Are you doing any "de-colonization" on a regular basis?

Melissa
That is gret news! I'm glad that your life is back to normal.
Do you mind sharing how much vitamin D the doctor prescribed, and
for how long you took it before your surgery? Also, did they test
your vitamin D levels?
Thanks, and congratulations!
