Hi folks, I can remember when I was infected with mrsa worring what
would happen if I ever needed surgery. I didn't think I could safley
have surgery again. Well it has been close to two years now since my
year long battle with mrsa. The mrsa was in my blood and reoccuring in
my leg x 4. 15 days ago I had surgery and no signs of infection and no
antibiotics from the doctor. The wounds are all closed. I had
antibiotics in my iv on the day of surgery but to my surprize, that was
all. I used my manuka honey under the bandages and silver by mouth
twice a day and on the wounds after my showers. I am also taking
vitamins and extra prescribed vitamin D now. Things I learned from
this site. I just thought that if anyone out there is feeling like I
was when I was infected this might make you feel better. There is
infection free life after mrsa. -Melissa
