I must have missed your posting about the Pneumonia.
My daughter had hospital acquired MRSA Pneumonia and survived
(barley!). She also had toxic shock syndrome and was hospitalized for a month.
She was 3 years old at the time. The doctors had to operate
and cut off a third of her infected lung. She was also treated with drugs
for a month or so afterwards. This was about 4 years ago.
She is doing great and the MRSA has never returned. They
must have removed every last bit of the MRSA. Her lung has expanded and she is
like any other normal child (though she is the loudest – but that’s
probably because she is a red head!).
