Hi My name is Manda and you can read my story in one of the first
post...First off Let me tell you how glad we are to help. MRSA is
such a lonely illness (someone told me not to call it a diease
because its a bacteria...haha) Its weird to explain it to people who
havent been affected by it. And once you see a couple of Dr's you
will realize that each one has diffrent ideas about treatment.
I am sorry to hear about your little boy. Jayden my daughter was 1
when we got the first one...and found out she was colonized. I guess
if you have any questions you can feel free to ask and we will try to
answer them. Everyone that posts here is pretty awesome.
As for the crying..my mom and dad both have been colonized..and had
sores..They say they hurt like fire. It makes me feel all the more
for my little one when she gets them. I suppose that is the
whole "out of our hands " feeling as parents or caregivers we
experiance. Its rough. JJ has constant sinus, ear or upper
resporiotry infections which our allergist and immuneologist has
stated was because she has MRSA,its a primary infection allowing her
body to become weak against other infections. (she also gets alot of
yeast infections...Did ya'll know that MRSA can colonize there too??)
If there is anything you need to talk about please bring it to the
table..we can surely come up with some ideas to help.
Manda
