Re: [MPEIparentsupportgroup] Re: Hello everybody

Hiya,

I'm still gradually learning about the other kids on here too.  i have invited another little boy from the UK called Dylan (who is 6), plus a family from Croatia & another in canada but they haven't made it yet.  I find it har to find time, so just drop in when I can!

Margaret - my partner & I both work full-time too.  it's really hard, but I am fortunate that my work allows me to work from home 1 full day & 2 half days a week.  As I work 8-4, & my partner 12:30 - 20:30, we share the childcare.  2 days a week, maddie's nan has her for 4 hours.  We can't get any support from anywhere else in terms of childcare, but this works ok.  Just means Steve & I only really have weekends together.  When the new baby arrives, he or she will go to nursery - we have one opposite where I work.  maddie's nan has terminal cancer, so we can't expect her to watch Maddie & a new baby too.

Hi Alison,

Congratulations on your baby. I remember how hectic things were when I
had Bronwyn, I actually don't remember much of that first 12 months.

I didn't realize that you worked outside of the home as well. Who
looks after the kids?

No there isn't a section on each child, but I'm sure all the great
mums and grandmothers will tell you about their children.

And lastly, its great that you've managed to find some time to join us.

Margaret
