Re: Potassium Bromide

Hi Tan:),

Den has been on Potassium Bromide for years. It has been an amazing drug for
him. Even though he has never had sz control and never had a day without a sz,
the drug combo he is on atm keeps them down under 50 a day ( av 20/25). The
other little girl our neuro treats with MPEI is also on it and they have found
it to be good as well. I haven't noticed any side effects from it at all, and
would recommend giving it a try.
Congratulations on the new baby, having Bronwyn was very good for me, it helped
with the grieving that I was going through and I was so busy that I didn't have
time to dwell on MPEI constantly.

Margaret

children have been on this med before? It is off label use here in Australia and
is mainly used in Dogs! Apparently it was the first anti convulsant made. Has
had some positive effect with better seizure control with MPEI???
