Hi there,
Rylie started having seizures that we noticed at about three weeks of age - way before she had any immunizations. I don't believe that shots made her MPEI worse but that's my personal belief. She had her immunizations up to date - I've heard that we don't get as many immunizations in Canada as they do in the US. Hmmm......
Take care everyone,
Laura

Hi Tan
We have not had either of our boys immunized due to the MPEI and also family issues with them. Have you looked into anyother ways out of immunizing like religious reasons or family problems? Have you talked to the Doctor about writing a note for you? I am suprsed that the schools are allowed to keep Joce away if you have reasons to why she can't have the immunizations. I would also ask to see the school regulations and see if you could get around it some other way if the above reasons do not apply.
Hope this helps. We will be praying for Joce, also have you tried ativan to help her relax?
Just wondered....
Hugs,
Rachel and Micah moo

Subject: [MPEIparentsupportgroup] Immunisations?
Hi everyone,
I am just wondering if you have had your children immunised?
Joce docs advised her not to be due to her MPEI.
I really want to start looking at special pre-schools etc and they wont take her if she is not covered.
Just wondering what your thoughts are?
Joce is having her screaming/arching faze at the moment (been going for 2 months). We are about to try Chloral Hydrate. Something has to give her a rest!
Hope you are all doing well,
Lots of love and hugs
