Having problems with message search?
I wholeheartedly agree with you. Schools were not closed,
malls were not closed, parks were not closed, this should have been left up to
the parents, the decision was likely made only to protect from potential
lawsuit not to protect the kids. Each camp should have been handled on a
case by case basis. This is just another example of an organization,
government or otherwise protecting people from themselves and taking it out of our
hands for the “greater good”.

If I really thought it was ONLY about the kids, I would be fine
with it. I think it was more about their bottom line and their fear of being
sued should a kid contract swine flu. You take no more of a risk getting swine
flu at camp than you do at school or church, etc. If a parent is that worried
about swine flu, they could have simply opted not to send their child.
For the rest of the kids, have the parents sign a waiver not holding Mda
responsible should a kid contract it.
