See if the child can become comfortable around the chair when no one is in it. 
See if the child will go for a ride in the chair once he or she is comfortable.
Do not press issue and just give the child the opportunity to become comfortable with the chair at his/her own pace.

Those of you around allot of children being in or around a wheelchair yourself. How do you get a 2yr old not to be afraid of a wheelchair? My little 2yr old...

Don’t take it personally. Some kids are like that. I watch a 2 ½ years old that is so afraid of the Rugrats character, he cries when he see them and runs...

She probably has not been around you enough. My grandson just turned 6 and was around Michael frequently all his life, so he was never afraid of a wheelchair....
