Description

MCS-CanadianSources is a support, information and resource exchange for those living and coping with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), Environmental Illness (EI), or Chemical Injury (CI). We also discuss invisible illnesses as they relate to chemical sensitivities. Since January 2001, we have offered support to Canadians dealing with the challenges of living and coping with MCS/EI/CI. Although our focus is Canadian, our membership base is worldwide. We also welcome significant others, family, friends, medical professionals and other parties interested in the issues and challenges we face. Locating products within Canada is often a trying experience and purchasing out of the country can be an added financial burden due to unfavourable currency exchange rates, the added costs of duty, and often unaffordable shipping costs. Equally, locating these services (and accessing them) can be a difficult challenge and so we share our knowledge with each other so that all may benefit. SPECIAL NOTE: When submitting a request to join our group, please include 2 - 3 short sentences explaining your reasons. Please note that this sign-up email is sent only to the administration team. Please wait until you have been accepted to the group to introduce yourself and ask questions so that your post is sent to all group members. Please be sure to see our Files, Links and Database Sections to access our ever expanding list of resources. We also have a website at: http://www.mcscanadian.org which houses educational materials, tips on coping with MCS and other helpful information. Please check it often as we hope to update it frequently.
