Please understand that there are two types of exemptions to mandated vaccines here in Missouri. You can get a medical exemption from your doctor or you can take a religious exemption yourself. You do not need to be part of any specific religious movement or otherwise explain your spiritual concerns - they have no right to question you and must accept your exemption.

Hi, I just joined.
Unfortunately, I found out about vaccines AFTER my son has had his immunizations.
NOW, however, the middle school nurse called me to tell me that he needs his Tetanus booster and it's the law, and I can get the info to her that he's gotten his booster in the next few days.
But THEN, when she said his last immunization for Tetanus was 1/1999, and he is supposed to have his booster after 10 years, she admitted he wouldn't be due until January 2009!
I wondered WHY she's pressuring me NOW? Of course, I'm glad I've got time to deal with it, rather than waiting until he actually IS due.
