The Montgomery County Asperger Parents Support Group is an organization dedicated to assisting parents in understanding and meeting the unique challenges of parenting a child with Asperger Syndrome. Our approach is to focus our attention on the family, local resources and issues related to our children’s participation in school and the community. Our goals include:
·To identify local support resources that meet specific needs
·To assist families in understanding how to apply strategies aimed at improving their daily lives
·To create a sense of community among our members
·To provide opportunities for our children to socialize
·To advocate for school and community resources, and
·To provide educational opportunities for parents.
