The Metro Atlanta Carcinoid Awareness Group (MACAG) was established in November 2004. The group was established as an informal communications enabler for those who reside in Georgia and have been diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer. We also welcome family members and Medical Professionals who wish to share information with our members.

MACAG members are encouraged to attend an informal bi-monthly meeting. The meeting is intended to enable members to meet each other and exchange information. The meetings are scheduled as follows:

The structure, and content of each meeting is based upon member input and is communicated to members prior to the meeting.

There are a number of excellent web-based resources dedicated to providing information on the diagnosis and treatment of Carcinoid. We make no attempt to duplicate that functionality nor is it the purpose of this group. Members are provided with links to key sites where they may locate that type of information.

Membership is restricted and must be approved by the group owner. Those who request to join the group must include, with the request, specific details as to why you want to join before membership can be approved. Unfortunately, this is necessary to prevent the group from being accessed by internet abusers. You will be asked to complete and submit a brief questionnaire prior to being granted member status.
