We are open to Mensans from all countries who are dealing with addiction to alcohol, drugs, overeating, gambling, and so on. We welcome members of Alcoholics Anonymous, AlAnon Family Groups, Overeaters Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and other 12-step groups, along with their family members, the curious, and visitors.

We try to emphasize that we're here to stay in the solution. Our orientation is recovery through the 12 steps, with emphasis on the "we" part of our programs. In all our discussions, we put principles before personalities, spirituality before religion, and progress before perfection.

M-12Step members belong to Mensa in Australia, Brasil, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

While our members include men and women who consider themselves members of various 12-Step groups, we also welcome those Mensans who are unsure whether they are addicts, and are here to "check us out." In effect, this is an open meeting.
