Thanks for the response. That gives me a lot of confidence. I think I was mainly concerned because when I originally did IRT, I read the codes myself. But this more recent time (rollover in group 13), I've had much better results, so I thought maybe it was because the codes were being read to me. But I guess it's just because I've done it more.
As for me, I'm doing GREAT. Really. I'm just not the same person I was two months ago. I still have some issues, mainly I get run down very easily then get what seems to be a resurgence of an old flu virus. My skin rash persists and some other minor thing. But my brain fog, general malaise, pains and most of my eating problems are all gone. That's from like 10 to 0. It's really great!
HI Anne,
Sorry you are feeling so awful. Seems to be a lot of
bugs going around.
It's interesting that since my daugher has been doing
IRT she has been getting a lot of colds with pretty
high fevers, but, she is recovering from them quite
nicely , where as before she would not get a fever and
the stuff would just linger and linger and linger.
I feel that IRT has helped her immune system to react
to the bugs...before it was doing nothing!
Kirsten is on #14 first go around. She was feeling
really pretty good, then she got the horrible
flu/cold/sore throat...and now she is herxing quite
bad...she's miserable.....it's hard when you have to
go up and down with this stuff.
I hope you can get some more reassurance. But, I feel
like it's a good thing in a way that your immune
system might be kicking in also..who knows...
Blessings on y ou,
Carol

Ann, perhaps you could divide your session into two parts, doing half one week and half the next until you feel better. The drawback to this approach, of course, is that it will take you longer to complete your sessions in the long run. However, it will allow your body to clear the toxins and you won't feel so ill.
This is just a suggestion to consider if you're trying to work and are feeling awful at the moment.
I'm getting over a cold and am also herxing from codes, and it's been a difficult week--and I am not working as you are. I'm sure it's been a struggle for you.
BTW, soaking your feet in Epsom salts can help the herx pass an little quicker.
I am on my second round of IRT and before I started I felt pretty good-- until the last 3 weeks and then whammo. I got a cold-1st one in 4.5 years, then I got sinus problems--1st time in 4.5 years with pounding headaches, then this week I have constant diarrhea? Could IRT be contributing to this. My remaining Lyme symptoms that I had when I started group #13 are all still there plus these things (also terrible cramping in feet, despite upping my magnesium). HELP! Guess I need reassurance. I am back teaching full time and the kids do not need a sick crabby teacher and I need the job! Ann

Hey Dirk,
I just wanted to reassure you that reading them yourself is just as
effective as having Celeste or one of us in the office read them. I
was in Lyme Group 6 and they did not have anyone read them to us
then. I know that I read them incorrectly and it worked just fine...
I'm still symptom-free! It actually worked for me even if I didn't
read them out loud, although I have a habit of at least mumbling
them. So, go right ahead and read them yourself... your eyes will do
the work for you, even if you "read" it wrong out loud or say it
wrong inside your head.
I should introduce myself... I'm Tiffany from Gary's office. I work
Tuesdays and Thursdays. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry I didn't
get a chance to post earlier... I've been busy with "work" (at Gary's
and my own jewelry business) and with my husband in and out of
hospitals :) He's fine now and we're back to trying to catch up on
things.
So, that said, I guess you guys have an "inside" source... I'll try
to get any questions answered for you if you have any specific ones
that the office didn't answer... although I have to say that they
welcome your questions and are very good at getting answers for you.
Well, good luck everyone and I wish everyone the best on their
journey towards health :)

~ I think they work good either way Dirk. It is my feeling that seeing them and reading them yourself could be more effective. Gary has said that it does not matter if you read them right. Your brain sees them right as you read them. The most important thing is that you do read them, not stress or worry about it, and believe for real that they will get into your brain and retrain your immune system. It has worked for many and everyone has concerns about this but it does not seem to matter how you do it, just do it and don't have any stress about not reading the letters or numbers right.
Dirk,
I always have to read the codes on my own because I
work on Mondays and can't stay on the phone, then
listen to the music at work. I have asked, and
asked..... and Celeste said that they didn't even used
to have someone read the codes. When she did it, she
read the codes herself too. I told her that I was
getting myself all crazy because I couldn't read a lot
of the handwriting, she said it doesn't matter. That
your brain sees it right even if your mind doesn't
know. She said that even she can't always read it
right and screws up some of the sometimes- she said it
doesn't matter. Hope that helps. I think a lot of
people end up reading them instead of listening on the
phone.
How are you doing? What group are you in?

I know this has been discussed briefly before. I was wondering if anybody find the codes more effective listening to Celeste read them versus reading them out? I'm going to have to read the codes for this week's treatment and I'm scared of it not being as effective. I always worry I don't read some words right, sometimes I can't quite make out the letters etc.
Well, if that's a stupid question, that makes two of us =o).
I'm guessing it probably doesn't matter, but unless someone else here
knows the answer for sure, I would email or call over there to get
Gary's thought on that one.

I was just wondering that the first 4-5 times I read
the codes I actually didn't say TY God at the very
end. I read it as the 2nd column on the page (last
item on page) and then proceeded to read the 3rd
column. I read it, but not at the very end. Do you
think this matters- probably a stupid question?

Thanks Becky. I thought about it over the weekend and
I don't think I will switch ABX now, I am having a lot
of improvement, probably from the IRT and I don't want
to change anything I am doing for now. I am going to
call my doctor today to let her know.

Becky,
Thanks for telling me that. I'll make sure to send an
email to Gary about my med change. My lyme symptoms
have been better the past few days, a lot. I have a
cold now though.

Hi Maureen, I think the problem with something being added or changed
in the first weeks of IRT is that it is hard to tell whehther IRT is
working or not, whether for Gary or the individual. But if you
already know it is for sure, it's totally ok to change/add anything
you want to after that.
I haven't personally haven't done abx, but from what I've heard Gary
say to others in the groups I've been in, he needs to know what's
going on with your meds to write codes for the changes.
Hope this helps. And I hope you're doing well,
Becky

I visited with my LLMD yesterday and we are going to
switch my meds- right now I am non clarithromycin and
plaquenil. I am going to switch to a different
antibiotic (don't have the name in front of me- starts
with an "r", maybe rophanpin?) I have done 5 sessions
of IRT so far, I know Gary mentioned in the beginning
to keep doing what you are doing, will this screw me
up? I am not yet ready to stop abx. Has anyone
switched while doing IRT?

I am not sure of the answer, but I would really think
it could. I know Gary told our group in the beginning
that he would be writing codes for RA. It helped him
with his chronic illness, wasn't it a degenerative
arthritis or something like that?
congratulations on the other symptoms being gone! How
long did it take for you? I am only on my 5th session
of IRT.

I have rheumatoid arthritis as a result of chronic lyme. I'm in Lyme
group 11, not planning to rollover. My symptoms are all gone except
for the arthritis. Do you think that IRT can help rheumatoid
arthritis? I've mentioned it to Gary via email ..
Lisa.
Thanks, is she supplying you with herbal blends in
order to help detox?

Hi Carol,
Yeah, I've been pretty busy with life again, whew. Maybe too busy...
but I'm not complaining!! :)
Tennis is a stress-reliever for me, funny as that may sound. I don't
have the muscle or weight to play hard yet, but thanks to my husband
(and sometimes son) keeping their "mean" skills at bay for me, I can
keep a good volley up. It's a blast!! Sat. and Sun. I started
learning to serve---weird stuff, but great fun. Also how to play at
the net. I have since found that there are muscles I never knew I had
in my arms and back, whoa! ...so i'm in recoup mode at the moment, hehe.
Sadly, we won't be able to play tennis for much longer now. It's
getting darker sooner, rainier, and the indoor courts are
astronomically expensive to rent even at a monthy rate.
Yayayay and YAY again about how Kirsten's doing! That's a big step
that she can do so much more now and able to enjoy life more. And I
think it's totally awesome about her cortisol and progesterone
experiences.
That chelating stuff can be tough stuff from what I've heard so I
think you're right in having her come home when she starts that. But
she's young and she's done so well lately. It will be such a joy to
see how she continues to progress, especially during/after that phase
of things. And especially now that she's gotten rid of so many of
those horrid flukes.
Well, I am finishing session #8 codes today (got behind my group a
little bit for various reasons) and my heart is really feeling it. My
head, too. Wow.
Take care, and thanks from my heart for your kind words and for the
encouragement as well. It means a lot.

I like the testimonials. I think that they are helpful and
informative. It is great to have each other to keep up on what is
working for some and what is not. I think that it is especially helpful
for those new to IRT to be able to get tips, testimonials and an idea
of what to expect from those that have done and are currently doing IRT.
Blessings to all,

Hi all,
Just a curiosity. Wondering what everyone thinks of the Lymefree.com
testimonials.
Do you find them informative and compelling?
Do you think of them as real and true and how important do you think
they are as far as reaching others who may me interested in IRT?
Your opinions would be helpful.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have a friend who is an herbalist and nutrionist who was supplying
me with herbal blends to help repair damage. Her website is
newportaromatherapy.com. Check out the supplements. It's good stuff.
If you call her she can recommend what she thinks will be most helpful.

Catch up on fall's hot new shows on Yahoo! TV. Watch previews, get listings, and more!
Hi Carrie,
This is not meant to talk you into anything you don't want to do :),
but I just thought I'd let you know that like others have mentioned,
it also took me over 25 sessions to see significant and
reliable/lasting improvement. The reason was because there was
always a few symptoms screaming for my attention, making me feel like
nothing was getting better/changing. But it was. My symptom chart
consistently told me that. I chose to make a list of them at one
point and carry it around, reading it often. It really helped. That
way, the few symptoms that were so bad, causing all my attention to
focus on them at any given point, couldn't get me down.
I don't know how to describe it very well yet, but it was like my body
had soooo much work to do in my first group -- issue after issue
needed to be dealt with, symptoms came and went and came and went.
But in this second group things are much less heavy and the
improvements are obvious and sticking around for good. It's great. I
wouldn't skip this phase of things if you paid me.
I have herxed from over half the sessions I've had so far with my new
group, but like Troy and others, I find it doesn't last long at all
and I feel so much better each time. This second group is definitely
getting the bugs that fell through the cracks in my first group.
Have you had Lyme for very long?
Take care :)

Carol, hi!!!
It's so great to hear how Kirsten's doing, especially with that
progesterone allergy issue not to mention the cortisal issue. That is
totally amazing knowing what I have about her situation... wow. Like
you, I'm so curious to hear how she does further down the road with
things.
How is she doing with her fluke issue? Has that resolved? She sure
has been hit hard. Has she had some better days to enjoy lately?
Those are pretty rare when one is so sick and has so many different
issues to deal with while going through this ordeal of Lyme, tho, I know.
Take care and sending both of you love :)

It's interesting how often I've heard this. It happened to folks in
my first group as well I remember now. It definitely happened to me,
too. I wonder if for some of us it might be that, as Lyme gets killed
off, a latent flu or cold bug comes out to play that was held at bay
previously by the 'big' Lyme bugs. I know Gary talks about that with
other bugs. That also might explain why, when there's no cold or flu
going around, quite a few of us get a cold or flu after doing some
Lyme codes. Just a thought anyway.
Btw, I do know that Gary definitely needs to know about colds and flus
so he can write up codes and get the immune system to deal with them
once and for all.
Blessings,
Becky

Hi Maureen,
I am using only IRT and it's working great. I personally made the
choice not to add anything alongside for a few different reasons, but
the first and foremost was that, if Gary's IRT stuff was for real (and
if it worked for me), I wanted to watch my body/immune system have at
it all on its own. It's been doing just that for 9 months now-- truly
incredible. I am somewhere around 85% better. Earlier this evening
while I was changing the sheets on my family's beds (after playing 2+
hours of tennis!), some of my old symptoms and hellish days/nights
came to my mind. I just started sobbing uncontrollably which took me
completely by surprise-- I felt totally overwhelmed by the incredible
suffering I've gone through for decades and how I don't suffer like
that anymore.
Take care and best wishes,
Becky
