My thoughts exactly Dave, about Atkins and calories.
I have done Atkins
before and lost 50lbs. I stalled a few times during
that time but as soon
as I kicked up the non-starchy vegetables and took
away MOST of the cheese
and "frankenfoods" I started to lose again. I,
unfortunately am not one to
try one thing, as soon as I started to gain I PANICKED
and tried all 3
things. Maybe taking away just the cheese or
frankenfoods, one at a time,
might have done it...ANYWAY, I am back to losing
again. ALSO, I found that
once I got the thought out of my head that Atkins (no
fault of his) was an
"all you can eat" diet I not only felt better but the
weight loss started to
kick in faster. I try to eat 6 little meals a day
instead of cramming it
all into 3 meals a day, that is working for me.
OK, I must go for now but I will keep an eye on
everyone's success. It is
so encouraging...even if we are miles away. One day I
hope to get back to
the bay area, but until then I will just keep coming
here to get my "bay
area fix" :-)!
