I miss the occasional meetings of the LowCarbBuddies group that used to meet
in Saratoga. I skipped the last meeting in April, because I am busy on
Tuesdays.

I found that the Yahoo group for LowCarbBuddies has been deleted.

We were fortunate that Joel was willing to pay the $10 for the meeting room
at the Saratoga library, and make an agenda for us. It helped that he had a
business to promote at the time.

My local Castus low carb store had a group that meets, but they wanted $30
to attend. That was an absurd price to me. There is a meetup.com group in
San Francisco, but that is a long drive from San Jose. Also, they meet in
a restaurant. I dine out too often as it is.

If anyone knows of a low carb group in the South Bay, please let me know.

If I scheduled a meeting at the Saratoga library myself, and charged 75
cents per person to cover the room rental, would anyone be likely to attend?
I would not have the professional presentations that Joel had, but we could
share our stories and compare low carb ideas.... ?
