I recently purchased a nitrite free bacon at Andronico's in
Berkeley. My dh really likes to have 2 slices a day and I have been
looking for this, as the nitrites are unhealthy. Also, they have a
nice selection of organic meats, cheeses, chicken etc and have the
low carb milk that we like (chocolate). I didn't try this, as it was
a little pricey, but they had this organic cream in the glass
bottles. I did buy one that was hormone free, so that was nice.

We are back on induction, because both my dh and I are gaining weight
(although I'm still losing inches). I think until I get a food scale
and have a better sense of carb counts, we have to stick to the
basics. Dh still has another 30 lbs to lose, so I think that is what
we'll have to do. Bummer, because I was looking forward to more
veggies, but I think it's best.
