I like the downloaded version of FitDay too. I have learned a lot from the charts and such. I never had the motivation to log my food on paper, but the computer makes it fun.
While the program does not crash or have obvious bugs, it does lack a few things as might be expected for a first version of software. I can't find a way to log sugar alcohol on custom foods. Also, I would like to have charting on water and other beverage consumption showing total fluids per day.
I was shocked one day, when a pie chart showed that my tiny 2 ounces of cashews had the most calories per food item for the day. Variety is important, but for the same calories I could have had a bunch more of something else.
The nutritional breakdown shows I'm short on folic acid. However, it also shows that folates were fine. I read on the internet that folic acid and folates are the same thing. Now I'm confused.

Subject: [Low_Carb_SF_Bay_Area] Re: ~..~ FitDay SoftwareI am really enjoying the downloaded version of fitday. I like it because it is on my desktop and I do not have to go online to add my foods for the day. I can just type them in without signing online.Your Atkins Buddy and friend,
