Would it be possible to get a copy of this list, or was this the list of
restaurants sent in a previous email?

Thanks so much. I was unable to attend the meeting.

Anyone eat at JOHN O'GROATS in Encino?

Have eaten there twice recently and do have to tell you it was delicious and
they are very conscious of being gluten-free.

I had Buckwheat Pancakes and the Winston Omelet. Yummy.

Good possibility of having a gluten-free menu soon. They also have a separate
kitchen, so they feasibly could do the gluten-free items in that kitchen. For
now, they use the one kitchen.

It's on Ventura, cross street Woodley on the south side of the street. Address:
10516 Pico Boulevard and 16120 Ventura Boulevard, Encino. BTW I don't know if
the Pico address has two kitchens.

Any recommendations for a gluten free coffee shop/restaurant in the Beverly
  Hills area?
I will re-check the restaurant list we got at Sunday's meeting.

need address, phone number and $$$$. Much appreciated. You can email it to me
directly or if you think it will benefit all, then post to all. My email

Anyone interested in a gluten-free pizza in the Marina Del Rey area? Fresh
Pizza opened in the Waterside Shopping Center, right near Sugar Fish. The
Waterside Shopping Center is between Figi and Mindano on Admiralty Way. Fresh
has two other locations one in Manhattan and the other in Redondo Beach.

Gluten-free dining is getting easier for us, don't you think.

Hi, thanks for posting this. I think the link didn't come thru, though, and I
can't find the Thanksgiving dinner recipe offer on the Web site. Would you
please repost the link? Thanks!

We had dinner tonight at the Brigantine in Del Mar. The view is amazing - Del
Mar Racetrack, the estuary with a variety of birds (heron, egret, etc) and the
Pacific. The chef was very knowledgable about Celiac and made appropriate
substitutions - no bleu cheese on the salad, no soy sauce, gave me extra vegies
because the risotto was questionable. Dessert was creme brulee. All on the
$19-25 menu for 3 courses (before 6:30 pm Sun-Thurs). One of the best
restaurant experiences I've had in a long time.

FYI -- I am inquiring with some contacts to see if I can find out the name of
the producer on The Today Show who produces the cooking segment. Then we can go
to them directly. I'll post it if I can get it.

I totally agree It is worth a $144 a year passport to not only go on fun rides
but have access to great restauarnts and great quality G F food from people who
actually understand our dilemma

go to any of the pay one price meals (like the character breakfasts, dinners,
etc.), they will bend over backward to feed you safely for no extra charge. In
fact, kids under three (such as my celiac daughter) eat free and they still
don't charge a thing for GF requests. When we went to Goofy's Kitchen in the
Disneyland Hotel, the chef told me that if you let them know a few weeks in
advance that you're coming, they will even order/make some GF cakes or sweets.

gets us 10-15% off those character meals so it's both financially manageable and
fun when we decide to go.

Thanks Claudia. I sent an email to Maro Canora. Got the following message
back. I think what we have to do is call the Today show at the number indicated
to get their attention and immediate action:

Thank you for contacting TODAY.

We receive hundreds of email messages a day, and while we read them all,
we might not be able to reply to each one directly. We do want you to know that
we appreciate the mail you have sent and the comments you are making about our
show. We created this automated
response to answer many of the frequently-asked-questions as quickly
as possible. We will try to answer all other questions directly when
we can. For immediate help you can always call us at (212) 664-4249.
For information regarding the WEEKEND TODAY show, please call
(212)664-2937.

Hope all will take a moment to contact the Today Show and Marco Canora.

Just a note re: spelling ... I know that celiac.org has identified it
as "faro," but according to two dictionaries I checked, faro is either
a card game or city in Portugal ... The correct spelling for the grain
is "farro."
