Dear friends,
I'll occasionally remind us all on how to keep our posts pertinent and
easy-to-read. We're ALL new to this discussion group, so please bear with this
message:
Reply Procedure:
If you receive individual posts and reply to one, please scroll down and delete
the parts of the original message that we don't need to see again. If you reply
to your Digest, you'll need to do A Lot of snipping--and change your reply's
Subject line. Thanks!
We're a Local Group:
We have a local forum because we have local issues to discuss and local ideas to
share. Think about your LA Celiac group when you find a local source of GF
ingredients, foods, and medical advice. And when you'd like to make a group
mail-order or have a get-together. If you learn something Locally pertinent from
other discussion groups, feel free to share it!
For Broader Topics:
Check out the links and handouts on our group's website and please remind each
other of what is there! If you've been in other celiac discussion groups, you
know that "Healthy GF Food" might be considered a pertinent general topic for
our local discussion group. ;-)
The Newbie & Research Exceptions:
We welcome ALL kinds of gluten-related questions from newly diagnosed celiacs
and celiac family members. Experienced celiacs with greater web experience and
GF book collections are encouraged to do some research before posting a general
question. Then, please post what you've learned to the group. Thanks!
Global Discussion Exception:
If there are gaps in the wider knowledge base, by all means, let's discuss them
here! Right here in LA, we have the brightest, web-friendliest, best-read bunch
of celiacs on the Planet!
My warmest wishes to you all,
Mary Courtney
