Livingston County, Michigan. Brighton, Hartland, Genoa, Hartland, Howell, Fowlerville, Pinckney, South Lyon. You are welcome even if you live in outlying areas such as Genesee, Ingham and Shiawasee Counties. For those interested in locally produced foods, co-ops, buying clubs, health food stores, etc. in this area.
This group was formed in late 2005 for the purpose of gathering together families who are interested in the Nourishing Traditions diet (Weston A. Price, Sally Fallon, Mary Enig) or other diets such as The Maker's Diet, as well as Rosedale and Mercola, who want to find the most nutrient-dense foods, both locally produced as well as resources outside our area for difficult-to-find SuperFoods. We will share info on local co-ops and buying clubs, farms, where to buy pastured eggs, meat and poultry, raw milk, organic, etc. We may be able to pool buying power for certain items, such as sprouted flours or cod liver oil to obtain better pricing. We will most definitely share cooking tips for preparing foods in the Nourishing Traditions style, both traditional and adaptive to busy lifestyles. We may discuss the Eat Fat Lose Fat coconut oil diet for losing weight, as well as how to feed our children for optimal expression of their genetic heritage. Off topic posts are currently welcomed as we network with each other. Eventually, with the right input from members, we might form an official Weston A. Price group. Currently, we are meeting only online via this Yahoo group, or for informal meetings as we make connections. We also encourage you to see the closest WAP group, Detroit Lapeer chapters of the Weston A Price Foundation, site at http://www.htnetwork.org.
