Lively Lungers Lounge was created in December of 2003 for individuals with COPD and/or their caregivers to gather and just enjoy the company of others that share a common illness on a daily basis while building stronger friendships.

In this group, we share stories, graphics, poems, and jokes, while laughing and sometimes, crying on another's shoulder. All we ask is that you do not submit explicit sexual material, graphic or written, respect other's opinions and beliefs, and to not intentionally hurt another's feelings.

Our members and their caregivers are subscribed to an on-line support list that offers information about COPD and lends support. If you or a member of your family has COPD, you will find valuable information and support at <http://www.copd-support.com> The support group has over 2500 subscribers world-wide. While this group, The Lively Lungers Lounge, is NOT affiliated in any way with Copd-Support, Inc., we are subscribers to that list.

This group is a closed group by invitaion only. If you would like to join us, please tell us (the site assistants) if you are a COPD'er or a caregiver and what List you are subscribed to on the COPD List along with your first name and the e-mail address you are subscribed to on the COPD List so we are able to approve your membership in a timely manner.

We would also like to point out that our mail volume can be very heavy at times. You do have the option of going to digest mail if you wish. You can do this by editing your membership from this site or by requesting one of the site assistants to do it for you. You must let us know by e-mail to the group when you are going on NoMail due to illness or vacaction.
