Description

The LeadedKids egroup was set up by the Global Lead Advice and Support Service (GLASS) on July 17, 2006 to help parents, teachers, doctors and carers of children with lead poisoning.
This group includes detailed discussion of lead detoxification, news about lead-related issues, and other heavy metal-related issues. Most members are parents of children with lead poisoning.
Much of the discussion on the list is about lead detoxification ("chelation"). Many parents on the list are doing lead chelation with a child. This process is discussed in detail.
Other disorders and issues related to lead poisoning are also welcome. Plumbism is the medical term for lead poisoning but the definition used by The LEAD Group Inc, Australia is intended here, ie a blood lead level above 10 micrograms per decilitre. Lead poisoned adults are welcome to join our Lead Poisoned Adults Egroup (LPAE) at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/LPAE
Also see our website www.lead.org.au for information about lead poisoning prevention and management in the form of service referrals, alternative products, Useful weblinks, factsheets, slideshows, etc.
Please be advised:
Statements posted on this list are for information only, and should NOT be taken as medical advice. If you need medical advice, you should seek it from those who are authorized to give medical advice: doctors. You are responsible for any decisions you make, or actions you take (or do not take).
If you would like to be put in telephone contact with other egroup members please email your details to egoup@lead.org.au or phone 1800 626 086 from within Australia or +61 2 9716 0132 from outside Australia.
