Hi,
My 6 year old son Tai was diagnosed 3 years ago with LKS after losing
all language, receptive and expressive. He never had an outward seizure
though. His behaviour has been very challenging and difficult to say
the least! We have seen great improvements though over the last year or
so. I don't know whether this is due to a clear EEG and improved
language, but there has been a big improvement.
What meds has your daughter tried? My son's EEG was normalised with
hydrocortisone. From having no language at all, he is now talking and
understanding again. It has been a long, hard road, but we can see
light at the end of the tunnel now. You are definitely not alone!
