I don't see how 24 hours could be overkill. I haven't kept up with the
posts too well here, but yours stuck out. I know my sister at one
point had a 3-day EEG. This was after her diagnosis, but it shows that
24 hours isn't the most they can do. Not every person will have
seizures every day or every night. I would call him often if you don't
have appointments with him and bug him until you get the EEG. If you
don't want to do that, find another neuro that will be more receptive
to your concerns and that has knowledge about LKS. We had a neuro tell
us that my sister didn't have LKS for 3 years before we got a new
neuro, who diagnosed her with it in the first 30 minute dr app we had
scheduled. If you feel strongly about getting your child tested
overnight, push it. Many times parents have the instinct to know what
is right for the child.
