Yes, a lot of neuros prefer the short term treatment, the only problem
is if the activity returns afterwards. Sometimes it can't be controlled
twice with steroids, they just don't work. Surely its better to kill it
dead over a course of a year or 2, then have to keep going through it
over and over.
I think at this moment in time, if the side effects are tolerable, the
pred dose should go up! Probably not what you want to hear with
Taylor's behaviour! Tai actually takes his steroids every day, rather
than 2 large doses. Maybe this is why her behaviour is so poor, because
she is taking 2 large doses?
Anyway, good luck with the EEG. Let us know how it goes.
