My son Gage was diagnosed at age 4. And since then he has been on
three different medicatios that have not worked. First we started on
Valium, the effect on him was not positive at all. I became fearfull
of what he would do to himself and/or his younger sister (age 2),
because of his aggressive behavoir. After 2 months we finally took him
off and then used prednisone. Unfortionatly that had no positive
effects on the EEG or in his behavior. All Gage did was gain about 10
lbs.. Gage is currently on depakote, and in the last month he tried
clearly to say momma, juice, two and three. Music to my ears!!! But
his behavior has not gotten any better. We just got the results back
from blood work and his levels are ok enough to go ahead and up the
dosage. I am unsure what to do next. So my question is has anyone had
trouble like this and do any of you have any advice to give me.
