He was diagnosed at 4 and 1/2.  At that time we did 3 months of ACTH.  After that, we had to start Prednisone.  He responded very well.  Over the last three years we've added Keppra to the mix.  He would regress and we would adjust the Prednisone.  Since before Christmas he was on a very low dose of Prednisone and was doing great.  About 5 weeks ago he started regressing and would not respond to increasing the Prednisone.  Our Dr. is hesitant to increase the Prednisone any more because of the potential side effects.  This is why we are trying the IVIG.  We have seen some improvement this week but he's still not where he was 2 months ago.
