Re: have an offer to do corporate laughter for about 200

GOOD WORK, MARK! That's great. Corporate laughter gigs are wonderful because
everyone wins: you get good money and the people get a good laugh.

In terms of payment, begin by asking what their budget it. That's usually a good
place to
start negotiating. If they don't have a number to throw at you, try asking
$500. This may
be attainable or you may have to come down from there. I've been paid anywhere
from
$100-500 for a group of 200. Always ask for mileage as well--the IRS rate is
now $0.585
per mile.

I think corporate presentations are best at 45 minutes to an hour and a half.
Begin by
teaching the amazing health benefits of laughter and the history of laughter
yoga and the
worldwide laughter movement. Then, get them laughing.

Exercises that have worked well for big staff groups for me are:
• Greeting Laughter (good for starters)
• Static Electricity Laughter (energetic groups will tackle eachother with this)
• Library Laughter
• Laughter Pills (I have them do the little over the counter strength first,
then the big
perscription strength and they lob these to eachother like footballs)
• Wide Mouth Laughter
• The "I am Amazing" chant
• Crabby Laughter (where you make crabby faces and then burst into
laughter--tell them
this is how they should deal with negative people in the workplace)
• Appreciation Laughter (give eachother thumbs up but don't let them try to tell
you this is
a McCain gesture--insist that it is a nonpartisan laugh)
• The Wave with laughter
• Gradient Laughter (this can be done seated)
• "I just won a beauty contest" freakout laughter (the women go nuts for this
and so do
the men--I wear a Tiarra to get them in the mood for this one)

Lots of exerercises work with these kinds of groups. Just have FUN with it.

Anybody else got ideas? Please share. :)

Laughingly,
Laura
