I have been attending lectures by this Doctor who is a local specialist. I have been watching his DVD on oral chelation and others and I have found it very good. The interreationships are very complex but he shows a path through that I have found most helpful and encouraging. I believe that it can happen that when the toxic metals get moilised your symptoms may actually get worse for a while until they are excreted.

I have calmed down since I received that message from Dr. Levin at Mt Sinai Medical University NY; fortunately, he is not my attending physician. In trying to be proactive and acquire as much information from additional resources, I have found that the amount of conflicting opinions on treatment and toxicity can leave you paralyzed.

The clinic I go to runs a test after every ten chelations to see how the cleansing is going. The test results comes back with all heavy metals and essential elements listed on the results. It does includes mercury. The reference range for mercury is below 4 ug/g ( I have no clue what 'ug/g' is). Although I am chelating for lead....my mercury was at 2ug/g when I started, then after 10 chelations, it went to 1 and then after the next 10, went to 0.3. I am waiting for the results of the 10 I just finished. So.....chelation with EDTA does effect mercury and the 'acceptable' reference range is much lower than your doctor thinks it should be.
