I have had high lead readings in hair analysis refer "files" on this
group where I posted my hair analysis.
Most of my back teeth have been filled in my youth (I think I was
taken to the dentist every year by my mother and I was probably over
serviced.) I do have regular check ups now at 59 but I haven't
required a filling for years. This could well have been a source of
mercury for me.
I have had some high blood pressure up to 160 on 100. I find my
blood pressure is high in the morning and then drops to 148 on 90
after a while. I have been prescribed Avapro 150 mg ( a beta blocker)
but I have stopped taking them for a few weeks to see if the blood
pressure goes down with the lead being removed. I am trying to stay
off these by improving my diet and exercise.
I think lead and mercury are a bit like balls in a pin ball machine. -
That is they drop in randomly and stuff up different processes in
different people. You only need a small amount in the wrong place to
cause havoc.
Remember it is not lead or mercury in the blood or the hair that is
the problem so measurements there are just indicators that these
metals may have been or are present. Lead in the hair would indicate
in my case that the de-tox treatment I have received has "shifted"
some lead from some organ or other and it has found its way to my
hair. This may indicate that the treatment is working rather than
lead is still in the organ it was released from.
I am just an engineer - not a chemist or a doctor, but I have seen
quite a few mineral extraction processes in industry to understand
that this is very complex and the order in which minerals are given
different treatment can mean the difference between the mineral being
extracted or not.
There is much research to be done. It is my view that the typical
double blind study misses the possibility that there are many people
who have a genetic disposition to accumulate toxins and these
unfortunate people fall in a small but significant percentage who
suffer greatly when exposed to traces of these metals. There is also
the long time delay between the time of exposure and the occurence of
symptoms. In my case that could be as long as 33 years.
Thanks for your interest
