I experienced doctors at both ends of the spectrum.
The first doctor who dealt with me laughed at me when I told him of my
concerns that the high lead exposure had affected me. This was despite
very high blood levels, exhibiting classic symptoms, and stippling red
blood cells.
By the time I found out the truth, it was far too late.
However once I had the correct information and diagnosis. The doctors
that advised me in the USA and Australia were helpful and supportive
with advice which proved to be correct.
Without the successful management of my treating doctor, I would
have "curled up under a rock and died".
