Re: [LPAE] Re: Health Insurance

Thank you for the timely reply.  I am with Kaiser and it is cancelled effective the end of the month.  I have utilized it as well... since exposure I am not sure what is going on but I am sure it will all wash out here.  Not thrilled about ...no insurance.. even more not thrilled if they are not keeping me because of lead exposure. Thank you again.  How do you feel and how long has it been since you have been in your exposed environment.

Hi H,
I was dropped by Kaiser under suspicious circumstances after testing high for lead. I never
took advantage of their services until I got lead poisoning. Suddenly they cancelled my policy
because, as they said, I was late on a payment for the third time in two and a half years- even
though the previous two times they never said anything and had been happy to take my
money. I explained to them that my late payments were due to a billing situation that could
be easily remedied, and they agreed to take me back -but then they renegged, claiming I had
filled out a form incorrectly.
I don't know (and can't prove) whether any of this was related to my recently aquired
health condition, but they certainly didn't seem to want my business.
Now I'm looking for a new insurance company, and I honestly don't know whether I should
mention my lead problem.
