As to drinking lots of water, yes I find this very helpful.
In fact, one of my most bothersome symptoms is frequent
urination, so I have to drink a great deal to keep hydrated.
I think this is fairly common among mercury poisoned people,
and probably lead poisoned as well. I often drink over a
gallon of water per day!
I think many of us have compromised kidney function and/or
damage to our endocrine system that leads to frequent
urination, so we are prone to dehydration. That makes it
doubly important that we drink enough water.
I have also noted in myself how important it is to drink
lots of water vs other liquids. I used to take some of
my liquids in the form of teas (green and herbal) and
decaf coffee. I seem to do better getting the majority
of liquids from pure water.
