I just saw that the forecast for tomorrow is calling for a 90% chance
of some sort of freezing rain/snow in the morning. I know there's a
good chance it won't turn out to be anything of consequence, but just
in case, I wanted to remind everyone of our weather policy.
As most of the Leaders have children in school (4 different school
systems just between the daytime meeting Leaders) and thus are
affected by school delays/closings, if the Charlottesville City
Schools close OR DELAY, the meeting is cancelled. Depending on which
schools delay/close, there is a chance that we will need to cancel
even if the City schools don't.
Please check your email in the morning if you have any question about
whether the meeting will be held. Barring computer problem, I will
post if the meeting is cancelled. If the weather looks fine and you
there's no post, assume we're on as planned.
Questions, you can reach me in the morning before 8:00 -- my home
number is 295-1985.
And while I have you on here... it's flu season, and there are a
number of colds & stomach bugs going around town. Please remember
that if your child isn't well (snotty nose, productive cough, fever
or vomiting within 24 hours of the meeting, etc), we'll miss you, but
request that you stay home. We have several babies who are too young
to have received flu shots and are young enough where a virus can be
dangerous, so we ask that you be conservative in judging whether you
and your child are well enough to attend.
Thanks everyone -- it's almost spring!
