Hi realdoggymouse,

Well it depends on the color of the LED, the 660 LED can go about 1/2 to 3/4
inches. the infrared 880 can go up to 3 inches.

But then a blue LED has almost no penetration. So it depends on what laser you
are talking about. What color and what power level.
