This list is for members of the LDS church who are interested in optimal health for their families. There will be a wide range of topics discussed here including -but not limited to- birth, diet, herbs, alternative medicine in general, gardening info, etc. A wide range of topics is welcome, but a big primary focus here will be diet - discussing the works of Weston A. Price, and sharing ideas and the joys or frustrations of eating or finding the foods espoused in the book _Nourishing Traditions_ by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig. If you are looking for a place to discuss the benefits of veganism or vegetarianism, this group is probably not where you will be happiest. This group is more for those who have tried these ways in the past and have found that they did not work well for them, and are interested in finding more suitable ways to take care of their families nutrition needs. We are especially interested in discussing how this all ties in with the Word of Wisdom, and hope to gain a better understanding through the sharing of everyone's ideas in this area.
I believe that debate is a very healthy thing, and very much welcome it here, as long as everyone remembers to stick to debating IDEAS and not attacking PEOPLE.
Non LDS are welcome here, but please understand that the main focus here will be of those trying to live by the Word of Wisdom, and absolutely no LDS bashing will be tolerated.
