North Shore Pediatric Therapy Free Monthly Workshop

Nutrition and Special Needs: Which diet will help your child reach his/her ultimate potential?

September 30th, 2009 7:00pm

In this presentation, the audience will learn about special pediatric diets in the media, diet facts and which diet is right for their child's specific needs.  The presenter will include an overview on the Gluten-Free, Casein-Free, and traditional MyPyramid diets.  Learn why people are choosing to use these diets, the guidelines, and how to meet your child's nutritional needs by using any of these diets.  We will review scientific research and discuss reasons for choosing each diet.  If you are searching for the perfect diet, then this workshop is one you cannot miss!

About the Presenter:
Brooke Schantz is a Pediatric Dietitian and holds a B.S. (Purdue University) in dietetics and M.S. (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) in Nutritional Sciences.  She is passionate about pediatric and prenatal nutrition and joined North Shore Pediatric Therapy in hopes of improving the lives of many families through the power of nutrition.  Brooke has a breadth of knowledge and experience pertaining to a multitude of pediatric conditions including:  overweight, failure to thrive,  food allergies, food intolerances, food avoidance, picky eaters, eating disorders, gastrointestinal disorders and various others. 

*NSPT specializes in Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Work, Behavior 911, Nutritional Counseling, Tutoring, Reading and Neuropsychology Diagnostics and Support. We are dedicated to helping children blossom.
