Event Update: Space is still available to register for the ASI 31st Annual Conference this Saturday, October 18th
This conference features several speakers renowned in their fields, and is appropriate for parents, adults on the spectrum, therapists, educators and other professionals working with individuals who are on the autism spectrum or who have social, emotional, learning or sensory challenges, including ADD and ADHD.
In addition, there will be over 40 exhibitors, with a wide variety of information and resources to share.
Continuing education credits are available.
Speakers include:
- Hal Edward Runkel, MS, MMFT, LMFT, nationally-known author of the New York Times Bestseller, Scream Free Parenting: The Revolutionary Approach to Raising Your Kids By Keeping Your Cool.
- Brian King, LCSW, author and adult with ASD, whose presentation, Life on the Spectrum will focus on successfully navigating the neurotypical world.
- Deb Russell, from Walgreens Human Resources, who will discuss Employment of Adults on the Autism Spectrum.
- Jon Pangborn, PhD, co-founder of Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!), who will present on Nutritional and Biomedical Interventions for ASD.
- Anju Usman, MD, director of the True Health Medical Center in Naperville, who will discuss Diet, Nutrition, and the Gut Connection.
- Norm Schwartz, MD, practicing DAN! physician, whose presentation will focus on Autism & The Environmental Connection.
