Hi my name is Claudia. I am 38 yrs old and have been diagnosed with
latex allergy 5 years ago. I live in NZ, and i feel very isolated as
the allergy is not too common here, at least not to the extent i
experience. I have a question to this group regarding the use of
public swimming pools. for those with severe latex allergy, how do
you get on using a public swimming pool? i have not had a problem in
the past but have not been swimming in a public pool for years. i
imagine that the environment could be dangerous with bathing suit
materials, goggles and bathing caps. can anyone help me regarding my
question, i would really appreciate it. thank you. i am glad i have
joined this group to learn more about latex allergy and to learn more
about how other people cope living with this allergy. take care,
claudia
