> What is MBT??
MBT is a chemical that is used as part of the glove making process.
It is one of a group of chemicals called 'accelerators,' and they
help to increase the strength of the finished glove. There are three
main accelerators used, and MBT has been shown to be the one that
most type IV's react to. In other words it's the most irritant one.
There are two other accelerators that are used, unfortunately on the
study day I went on I didn't note them down...
With type IV's simply changing glove brand doesn't always help,
because different companies use the same accelerators. The best way
to find out which accelerators are used with different gloves is
contact the company direct, or if like me you work in the health
services, there is usually a rep. that you can talk to, they usually
know which accelerators are used by their company.
> What kind of mattress could I buy that wouldn't have latex?
I would say most mattress don't contain latex, the foam ones are the
ones that are most likely to. Once again, the only way to find out
for sure is to contact the makers.

I have a problem with dust mites and find the covers work very well.
As for alternatives for pillows, don't know.
