hi i have this allergy from latex and i also received my allergy do to
surgery. i have been doing alot of alternatives an learn a great deal of
the protiens and chemicals related to latex this is actually easyier to
stay away from what you have a reaction too because you easily learn to
link the to together.
one thing i would say is always listen to your child. children have a way
of adapting to a disease without the complaining and with a latex allergy
you do when it is really bad forget what feeling go is. i know from
experience you can get back that good feeling. your still allergic but
you can feel good more tht bad,.
the things tah have help to get me off a great deal of medcication were
the simplest and could be purchased at a regular store. if i can help in
any way or if you child would like to chat with someone who has this
allergy too. i am here. i and aa mother of 3 and i understand how
children feel./ i am a shame to say if my child had this allergy and i
did not. i do not know if i could possible understand how they felt. the
adult with this allergy usually have a diffficult time finding a doctor
that understands and can help. this causes fulstration. so, for a child
to feel the way you do when you are allergic to latex and try to explain
it to an adult it is hard.
please for you child life look up on the internet the following thing.
chemical alleries
cerebral allergy
fragrance allergies scent allergy
hydronated oil alllergy
john hopkins study on gums and protiens

these are all related to latex and when you become server it is
important to live in a scent free inviroment.

marguerite at p-latex@... if you need to chat i will be here.
education is the only way to win with this allergy and it works i am an
example
i have almosted die a few times.
i now have started to swell on the inside .
i use to just swell on the outside. so, it is very important for you to
have a epi-pen on hand at all times. talk to you doctor about this.
