Hi everyone,
I am a Program Coordinator working with many staff who use Latex
Gloves for personal care of adults with disabilities. Our agency has
two programs. A vocational program where minimal usage of latex
gloves occurs and a residential program where substancial usage
occurs.
As the Occupational Health & Safety Co-Chair person I have come
across an OH&S consideration of Latex use via Saskatchewan Labour
Guidelines. I am not currently aware of concerns with any of my
staff, with the exception of one and we purchase alternative gloves
for her. As I am researching I am finding there is much more
information and concern for just air borne exposure.
I read that there was a questionaire available online that helps you
detemine the risk factor for an individual on possible allergies to
latex. I can not find it.
Does anyone know of a website address that would have something
posted that could be printed off? I would appreciate any help I
could receive on this. Thanks
Tracey
