Reiki distance healing is a form of Reiki therapy that can be performed without
the patient in the room. In most cases, Reiki is administered by lightly
touching a patient, but distant Reiki healing can be performed whether the
patient is in the room, next door or hundreds of miles away.
The distance is not important. Reiki energy can travel over any distance and
even through time. Because of this, distant Reiki healing can be used to heal
the pain of past events. This can be very helpful for someone suffering from
post-traumatic stress, anxiety or depression.
Actually, everyone has past issues that may fill them with regret or remorse.
Reiki distance healing, if used correctly, can release the hold that these past
events or issues have over a person's life, allowing them to feel more relaxed,
allowing them to live in the present.
If a person is worried about a future event, distant Reiki healing can be used
to let go of the worry. One of the principles of Reiki, as taught by Dr. Usui,
is "Don't worry today". So, we try to let go of anything that would cause us
worry by using Reiki energy.
The Reiki distance healing symbol is one of the more complicated ones to learn.
Some symbols are very simple and can be drawn without lifting pen from paper.
The Reiki distance healing symbol is composed of 22 different pen strokes.
During attunement, we learn to draw the symbols and say the sacred names. For
distant reiki healing the sacred name is Hon-Sha-Ze-Sho-Nen. Neither the symbol
nor the name has any power of its own. They only serve to help us focus our
energies and our intention to heal...ourselves or others.
It is not unusual for a therapist to charge a fee for a distant Reiki healing.
There is a reason for this fee. Those who learn Reiki as taught by Dr. Usui know
that a patient may not value a treatment for which no fee is charged and may not
be motivated to stay well.
At one time, only a small number of people knew about Reiki and even fewer knew
how to use it. That is now changing, as many of us feel it is very important,
considering world events, for more people to understand and practice Reiki. I
suppose we want to "heal" the world.
